Outreach to profession and community

The many everyday occurrences of polymer colloids make them an ideal vehicle for raising public awareness of science, technology, importance of chemical industry. The outreach activities of the Centre include:

• Short courses and symposia
• High schools program and continuing education for teachers (including preparing resource material for schools)

High school talks

KCPC staff often give talks for senior high-school students in the Sydney region, relating polymer colloids to their everyday lives as well as to their high-school learniong material.

• Participation in events such as:

  • University of Sydney Courses and Careers Day - there are a lot of jobs for people with qualifications in polymer colloids!
