The scientific program is managed by a team of scientists working in the different areas of interest within the work done by the Key Centre. The research and training in the Centre involves:
- formation of polymer colloids
- characterization of artificial and natural polymer colloids
- structure-property relations of polymer colloids and of polymers in general
- free-radical polymerization
- controlled radical polymerization in dispersed systems
- surfactants
- rheology of polymers and of colloids
- polymer colloids in food and agriculture
- reactor engineering and the manufacture of polymer colloids
- hydrocolloids
- hybrid natural/synthetic systems
